Reminders for trash day

I am writing this as a plea to everyone to remember that you should bag your trash before you put it in your can. Every Thursday my wonderful husband spends a good 15 minutes having to clean everyone’s loose trash out of our front yard because it blows away when the trucks are emptying their cans.

I know we’re not the only ones with this problem. So I’m writing this as a plea/reminder to everyone that by bagging your trash before you dump it in your bin will keep the community much cleaner.

That is a great idea. I find myself picking up trash from my own bins on Thursday as well.

Is there a way this tip could get out to the residents beyond the blog. Reason being, I don’t think everyone in the community either knows about or frequents the blog.

    Deborah,
Shame on them for not visiting the blog! ;)

I wonder if some people would be interested in an email “news letter” that is sent out monthly… Hmmmm. I know there are some people who would like the old fashioned type of communication (snail mail) – maybe we can attach a newsletter to the notices and other information enTrust sends out. I will see what I can do :)

    Great idea!

I think a monthly news letter would be so nice. I wonder how much the cost will be? I think we should advertise the blog more. Maybe a nice professional sign that is weather proof that we can place by the gates.

Monthly email newsletter… I think the cost of a mailed news letter would be waaaay too much… Quarterly at most I would think.

We have 392 homes now – so in stamps it would be $203.84 – plus envelopes, paper, printing… another $200 perhaps? About $403.00 a month, times 12 months is $4836. The blog costs about $50… a year.

I think monthly emails news letters are best… for those who want something mailed to them, it can be attached to AMMRE communications (whenever those are sent out) or visit the blog.

The sign idea is a good one too!
