Halloween decorations

Hello! We are sort of new to The Orchards, and we really enjoy decorating our home for Halloween and Christmas. I am just trying to find out if there are any special rules or anything that we would need to be aware of before we start to decorate? We do put up quite a few lights and other decorations but are respectful and turn them off at night.

Yes, please decorate! I think the only restriction is that the decor must be removed 30 days after the holiday.

I hope to see a Holiday Lights contest this winter!

  2. Mark says:

Just so you know, you’re not required to turn off decorative lights at night. The only thing to be cautious of is potential distrubance to neighbors’ properties. That might be a good way to meet your neighbors – let them know what you intend to do and invite them to let you know if there is a problem.

Also, be on the lookout for an announcement about a potluck event in the community park near Halloween!

Thank you both! I would love to participate in both the pot luck and decorating contest! We got started with decorating because of a decorating contest.

Why don’t we have a Halloween decorating contest as well?? :-)

  5. nchvz91 says:

I agree Arina! I think a decorating contest would be a great way to get the whole community involved!

We have all of our decorations up now! Hope everybody gets to come by and enjoy them! They will be lit up every night until about 10 or 11 pm. Hope everybody enjoys them!
